Lunar New Year Celebration 2024 -
the year of the Dragon -
"Open Day": Sat. 10 Feb - 9.00 am to noon
The custodians of the Innisfail Temple are pleased to invite interested members of the public to the Temple for an informal "Open Day" celebration of the Lunar New Year from 9 am to Noon on Saturday 10 Feb.
There will be a Lion Dance at 10:30am and the Dragon parade at 11:30am, interspersed with paper cutting, informal chatting and other topical activities. Donations welcome!

Grant award from Qld. Government:
Gambling Community Benefit Fund
for essential maintenance works.
The directors of the Innisfail Chinese Community Ltd advise that a grant to the value of $34,964.30 has been received from the Qld Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund to carry-out essential electrical wiring and window repairs/replacement works at the Innisfail Temple. The Directors are most appreciative of the support provided by State and Regional officials in the award of this grant.

Acknowledgement of Neville Lee's life
The Innisfail Temple directors announced the passing of Neville Lee in September 2022. Neville was deeply involved with the Innisfail Temple for more than 40 continuous years, holding the positions at various times of Custodian of the Temple, President, Vice-president or Director of the Innisfail Chinese Community Ltd.

Tai Chi Instruction:
Every Monday afternoon commencing at 4:00pm (four pm)
(including Public Holidays)
Tai Chi instruction is provided by Mrs Eileen Lee. Eileen is a long-term Tai Chi Practitioner and Instructor who has been trained in both China and Australia.
